The Happy Holidays Barbies were first produced by Mattel in 1988 and have been made every year thereafter up to the present time. They come packaged in a fancy display box, which adds value to the doll. They are extremely collectible, usually found NRFB, but make a lovely display even when removed.

The 1997 Happy Holidays Barbie is an 11.5 inch Barbie with long curly brown hair, wearing a red, white and gold wide ribbon trimmed dress with a net petticoat. She is wearing a tiara, earrings, a necklace and shoes (shoes are missing from the doll below). Her eyeshadow and eyes are green, and she has red painted lips with teeth showing. Marking on her head is "© 1976 Mattel Inc." and marking on her body is "© Mattel Inc. 1966 China."
