Hi Everyone -

I'm new to this forum.  I'm hoping overtime to gain information about where and how everyone here collects their dolls.  However, at the moment, I am hopeful that someone might be able to provide me some assistance.

I have a very small doll collection - all from contemporary artists - Rustie, Jane Bradbury, and up until recently, Christine Orange.  I had one of her Theodore dolls.  She had a porcelain head and when I was trying to move her display location: she fell.  Most of the back of her skull broke and not into one piece.  I've taken her to a doll hospital - but - they were not optomistic.

Does anyone know of a forum or an arena where I might be able to find a vendor selling her dolls - even from closed additions??

I'd appreciate any advice you might have.

Thanks,
Heather
eBay is always a good place to start looking for a replacement.  If the head was smashed in the back, they should be able to resculpt it with non-porcelain products so that the doll can still be displayed.  Not all doll hospitals/dolly doctors do that of course, some are more limited in their abilities and types of doll they can repair than others.  Since it's the back of the head which would - presumably - be covered by wig, though, it can be fixed.  Let us know!
