Hi!
I am not sure how to ask on a forum (new,,, very new), but here goes. Any help would be deeply appreciated!
As part of a university project supporting a method of teaching computer science called "Alice", someone has given me a used 18" doll on stand. She is signed behind her hair on neck (but I cannot make out the signature or the number of which she is part of "5000" made. She has long blond hair, bangs, white ribbon in hair, wearing a blue dress, white pinafore. The white pinafore has a pink tea cup on the chest. She is porceline, with soft body, white stockings and black patent shoes, holding a small white rabbit. Rabbit has a red jacket with watch and watch chain.
Can you help me identify more about her?
Thank you,
Barbara bconover@sju.edu
Hi Barbara - sorry for the slow reply, must have missed your post earlier on. The porcelain dolls are very hard to identify without having a maker's mark or signature or tag to go on. Can you find a magnifying glass and try to decipher that signature and/or are there any other marks on the back of her head that would help to identify her maker?
